The RDS wiki is set up as a guide within the CU Boulder Research Guides, which are public-facing.
Passwords, statistics, and sensitive information should be not in this wiki. Use Sharepoint to store these types of information. That way, the information is protected behind the Sharepoint login.
Individual guides (like this one) are associated with Groups. Our group, RDS, is one of about 15 LibGuides groups within the CU Libraries. It is an internal group which means that a logon is required to view the guides associated with RDS.
In order for users to be able to edit any part of the wiki, they must be a member of the RDS team. Only administrators can add users to a group. To add a user, go to Admin > Accounts, search for the user's account, and click on the "Manage Account" icon at right (looks like gears). Near the top of the popup box you will see the "Level" setting. This is where you control whether or not users can create, edit, and delete wiki pages.
Under "Manage Account" you must also specify which groups a user can access. Admins have access to all groups. For Metadata Services staff, whether their permission level is Regular or Editor, "Group Access" should be set to "Regular." Access for all other groups should be set to "No access."
What if I need to add a user who isn't the system? On the Accounts page click "Add Account." You can add anyone with a colorado.edu email address.
To see all of the guides associated with RDS, go to Admin > Groups.
Page owners/editors are responsible for maintaining and revising the content of their pages. If you are not the editor of a page, please contact the page editor listed below with your suggestions for changes to format or content. If you would like to work on a page that has not yet been assigned, or have questions, please contact Dresha or Sara.

New boxes get 14 point text. Older boxes in which the font size has been set will default to 12 point. You can clear this out by removing formatting, but you'll lose bold, italic etc.
