Top Japanese Studies Journals

Become familiar with the top journals is essential to understanding current and historical scholarly discussions/debates. It is not realistic to read everything in every journal, but take some time to identify journals that are most relevant to your research and make a habit of:

  • browsing article titles
  • scanning abstracts
  • saving relevant articles to read
