Historical maps created as far back as 1700. Includes the urban centers Edo (now Tokyo), Kyoto, and Osaka, as well as other smaller cities, and Meiji Era (1868-1912) maps of Tokyo.
These are large interdisciplinary databases with scholarship done primarily in English. Many journal articles that come up in OneSearch come from one of these five databases. Searching in each one individually allows for a greater control over your searches. If you want to search an individual journal you will need to do that through oen of the database. Other formats are covered as well, including newspaper and magazine articles, thesis, multimedia, etc.
