Not finding your book?

When we do not have a source, you may use our Interlibrary Loan services to request it! Place your request using ILLiad, and we do our best to get the source for you from another library. Interlibrary Loan is free for registered faculty, staff, and students and other authorized users at the Boulder Campus.

Course Reserves

The Libraries can provide access to course materials like textbooks through our Course Reserves system. Course reserves can be print books or ebooks. Books are placed on reserve at the request of the course instructor.

Course Instructors can put in a request to have a book on reserve
Students can search by course number or instructor name to see if there is a book on reserve or talk to their professors about course reserves.

Mason OER Metafinder The OER Metafinder performs a simultaneous search across 18 different sources of open educational materials.
Khan Academy Self-paced video tutorials for many programming languages, including JavaScript and SQL.
MIT Open Courseware MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a web-based publication of virtually all MIT course content. OCW is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity.

PHET Interactive Simulation Founded in 2002 by Nobel Laureate Carl Wieman, the PhET Interactive Simulations project at the University of Colorado Boulder creates free interactive math and science simulations. Learn more...

The Benefits of OER

Open educational resources address the high cost of educational materials and inspire a renewed approach to collaborative, social, and open pedagogical practices. The CU Boulder Librarians work alongside faculty, students, and staff to explore these potentials by supporting the adoption, adaptation, and creation of OER.

OER remove price and permission barriers to learning.
OER are largely born digital enabling sharing, copying, and distribution for near zero cost.
OER are openly licensed enabling legal reuse, remixing, revision, and redistribution of content.
