The Federal Reserve provides economic data, focused on banking and finance.

FRASER’s mission is to safeguard and provide easy access to economic history—particularly the history of the Federal Reserve System.

ALFRED allows researchers to retrieve versions of economic data that were available on specific dates in history. In general, economic data are revised as more accurate estimates become available. As a result, previous data can be superseded and may no longer be available from various data sources. Vintage economic data (as it was at that moment in history) allows academics to reproduce others' research, build more accurate forecasting models, and analyze economic policy decisions using the data available at the time.

GeoFRED allows researchers to create, customize, and share geographical maps of data found in FRED.

CASSIDI contains geographic and deposit information for all holding companies, banks, thrifts, and their branches. Researchers can view subsidiaries, and branches, operating markets, and history. You can investigate a banking market, see its concentration and structure, and retrieve a map. You can also perform a what if analysis (mergers/acquisition).

The IMF provides quick economic data on the countries of the world, as well as research on developing economies.

World Bank Open Data provides free and open access to global development data. Use the World DataBank to explore international business regulations, education statistics, unemployment, total CO2 emissions, and more.
