Music on the Front Range: Choirs

Ars Nova is a professional auditioned choir that specializes in a cappella music of the Renaissance and the 20th and 21st centuries.

A premiere chorus that supports the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in Denver. This ensemble is an auditioned volunteer choir drawing from all over the region. They support the orchestra for their regular season on over 20 concerts and perform in some summer festivals.

Elus is a Denver-based auditioned choir. They perform new works and staples of the choral literature in addition to performing with multiple ensembles in the region. Elus often supports local organizations as a part of their performances.

Gaudium Verum is a Denver-based professional chamber choir that specializes in music of the Catholic church. They perform chant, sacred polyphony, and sacred choral works related to the Catholic mass and liturgy. They also are educators in this style and work with Catholic schools and parishes.

Kantorei is a Denver-based vocal ensemble that performs music of contemporary and living composers.
Kantorei hosts an Artist-in-Residence, who composes for the choir.

The Larimer Chorale is an auditioned symphonic chorus based in Fort Collins. Their repertoire includes choral masterworks as well as musicals, popular music, and jazz. The Larimer Chorale Dickens Carolers draws from the larger group and performs during the winter holidays. The Chorale also sponsors the Silvertones, a choir for seniors.

Laudamus is a Fort Collins-based annually auditioned choir. They perform a broad range of repertoire spanning the Western canon as well as folk, gospel, and popular music.

The Rocky Mountain Chamber Singers are an a cappella auditioned vocal ensemble based in Loveland. Their repertoire encompasses a broad range of styles and genres.

St. Martin's is the region's full-time professional choir and is based in Denver. Their repertoire spans the Western classical canon and also includes works by contemporary and living composers.
St. Martin's offers a conducting internship for conducting graduate students in Colorado.
