Thinking about Your Organization

  • Probably won’t find an article that answers all of the questions
  • How do businesses measure themselves?
    • Sales
    • Amount of positive press
    • Social media engagement

Analyzing the Organization

Internal and External Environment

  • Go to the company's (and competitors') websites and social media accounts
    • Review sections like press releases, "news", investor relations, and annual reports.
    • Also review their social media accounts. How do they position themselves? How often do they post?

Public Perception

News articles and social media posts can help you analyze your organization's reputation and if your organization is "well known." Positive articles might mean your organization has a positive reputation. Hundreds of articles and Tweets about your organization written over a few years might mean your organization is well known. Sales numbers can also help you determine if your organization is well known (more sales=more well known).
