Anti-Racism Resources: Home

This guide is intended to connect the CU community with an array of anti-racism resources to contribute to learning, dialogue, and change.

We Have Work To Do

We offer these resources to the campus community as we grieve, feel anger and are moved to act in the wake of ongoing police brutality towards Black people and people of color. We stand in solidarity with our BIPOC students, faculty, staff, and community members and offer our support in the ongoing struggle for human rights. We also recognize that the COVID-19 crisis disproportionately affects these communities as a result of systemic racism. This guide is, and always will be, a work in progress. We will continue to add resources as we can with the knowledge that the practice of becoming anti-racist is ongoing.

Racism has no place on the CU Boulder campus. Employees of the University Libraries reaffirm our commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence, and will continue to work with our campus community to achieve freedom, equality and a just society.

We have work to do, both as Libraries’ employees and the Libraries as a campus institution. We must critically examine whiteness and systemic oppression in the library profession. Historically, these types of cultural heritage institutions reproduced dominant paradigms of knowledge and power. Our values of inclusion, empowerment, connection, learning, and inspiration guide our way in dismantling and collaboratively rebuilding these structures.
