Anti-Racism Resources

The CAAAS (pronounced "the Cause") supports teaching, research and creative work on the history, culture and struggles of people of African descent and provides a platform to build on the work of the more than 25 CU Boulder faculty members already making contributions to African and African American studies. The center is housed within the Graduate School, and Reiland Rabaka, a professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, serves director.

You can offer financial support for the Center for African and African American Studies, both for the new Center's general fund and an emergency fund that supports students with financial hardships.

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. The Boulder County chapter focuses on local education, civic engagement, housing, criminal justice, and economic development. All are welcome to join and volunteer for the local chapter to engage in these efforts.

The Colorado chapter of the ACLU provides local resources and information about social justice issues.
