Industry, Marketing, and Consumer Research

Mapping

Newspaper, Trade, and Scholarly Articles and Press Releases

Consider searching for these subject terms: sports spectators—psychology, fans (persons)—psychology, attendance, sports marketing, spectators and fans, sports for women, attitudes toward sports

Tip: Business Source Complete, Communication & Mass Media Complete, and SPORTDiscus with Full Text are EBSCO databases.  Search all three databases at once by clicking on "Choose Databases" at the top.
If we don't have access to an article, request it through ILLiad, our Interlibrary Loan system.

CU, NCAA, and Other Universities

Research other universities' NCAA reports and press releases by using Google or other search engine. Search a university name with "NCAA financial reports". Also search for universities' sport-related press releases to see how other universities are writing about/marketing their athletic programs.

Tip: Search a specific website or domain by adding "site:edu" or "site:website url" to your Google search. For example: site:edu or site:nytimes.com followed by your search terms.
