Request Materials



Request Materials

CU students, staff and faculty may request materials from any CU location, including the PASCAL off site facility. You may also request materials we don’t own that are checked out, lost or missing.

Locate a book on the shelf

Or, you can request it via the catalog

and pick it up from the library of your choice:

  • Record the location

Search the library catalog & select the title


Locate the place hold link


Place a hold

Login with your username and password when prompted

CU affiliates with identikeys will sign-in with the identikey username and password. Other users will sign-in with their library card number in both the username and password fields. You may need to email us at for a password reset following our recent library catalog system migration.

Articles, Book Chapters

If you are looking for an article or book chapter, search OneSearch to locate. If the article or chapter is not available, you may request a scan through interlibrary loan. 


Search for the article and choose 'Read Online'

Search for article

Request it

If the full-text is not available, look for the option to Request a Copy.













Login to Illiad to request. You will receive an email when it is available for viewing, printing, and downloading.

Books, Dissertations, Media

The quickest way to receive books and some media not available at CU. Request materials that are not available, checked-out, or missing. Prospector is a group of Colorado and Wyoming Libraries. Look for the link in the library catalog.
