Literature Research for DLA and CU SPUR: Find Other Kinds of Information

On This Page

Research articles are one of the most important kinds of information that researchers need to find, however researchers rely on many other kinds of information to help with their research.  On this page you'll find other information needs STEM researchers may have and research tools we recommend to help fulfil those information needs. Note: for the Canvas learning module you need to explore one of these and find one source relevant to your research.

  • You need to find information about a methodology. For example, you want to learn more about designing a research project, or you want to learn about a quantitative or qualitative method, or you have questions about how to do data /statistical analysis, or you want to learn more about visualizing data.
  • You need to learn more about coding or programming, such as programming in a new to you language, or how to program / develop an application for a specific purpose.
  • You need reference information such as a how to guide or chemical/material property data.
  • You need a technical standard to ensure you are following safety guidelines, quality guidelines and/or best practices in your research project.
