Common Computer Science Citation Styles

These are some of the most common citation styles used in computer science. Many journals use their own citation style, so if you don't see your style, use a search engine to searching the journal's name and the words "author guidelines." If you can't find specific information about how to handle a citation issue, please contact your librarian (elizabeth.novosel@colorado.edu) or search in the publication you are submitting your article to in order to find examples of your specific question.

Better BIBTEX for Zotero Better BibTeX (BBT) is a plugin for Zotero and Juris-M that makes it easier to manage bibliographic data, especially for people authoring documents using text-based toolchains (e.g. based on LaTeX / Markdown).

BibTeX is a bibliographic tool that automatically generates and formats a bibliography in a LaTeX document. BibTeX creates a bibliography file that is separate from the LaTeX source file, with a file extension of .bib.
