Current Conversations: About Greta

In May of 2018, Greta Thunberg won a climate-change essay contest competition in the Swedish publication Svenska Dagbladet, which was the launch point for this tireless activist's rise to worldwide acclaim. Following the hottest summer recorded in Greta's home country, Sweden, she began protesting (School strike for climate) in front of Swedish parliament to draw attention to the climate crisis. Though she began alone, she quickly rose to  fame and inspired young activists world wide.
