Do you know a CU teacher who has implemented, adapted, authored, or shared high quality open educational resources? All CU educators, including graduate students, are eligible to be nominated for campus-wide recognition.
The next call for nominations will be issued in late fall 2023.
The CU Open Educator Award serves to:
Elevate campus awareness of open educational resources
Honor educators who independently contribute to the open movement
Spark conversation and interest at a time when state and national legislation explores OER
Open Educational Resources (OER) are "teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and re-purposing by others." From The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
OER include digital learning materials such as:
open textbooks | courses | syllabi | lectures | assignments | quizzes | lab activities | games | simulations
All members of the CU Boulder educational community are eligible for the award.
Selections will be based on criteria of educational impact and innovation towards a culture of open knowledge sharing and access. When determining awards, care will be taken to recognize members holding diverse ranks.
Up to three winners may be selected in each review cycle.
