Fundamentals of Engineering Mechanical Exam: Exam Day

• The FE exam is made up of 110-questions in over a dozen topic areas.
• The exam is 6 hours long and includes:
  • A non-disclosure agreement
  • A brief tutorial about the exam
  • The exam itself
  • A scheduled 25 minute break

Use the search functions in the equation book. 

• You should have a subject index on the left side of the screen, and it's a searchable pdf.

• Use the onscreen calculator.

Be aware of the time.

• Skip difficult or confusing problems and come back to them.
• Don't spend too much time on a stumper or an unfamiliar concept. If you have time left over,you can spend more time in the equation book trying to figure it out.

Try to relax, breathe, and stay calm. 

• You don't have to get every problem correct and you can review them later. You have solved much harder problems than these over the past four years!
