Libraries Welcome Kit: Education Grad Students: Looking for Books/Ebooks

Welcome to CU, new grad students! This guide is to orient you to some of the University Libraries' useful resources and services.

Finding Books

As you research, you will likely use a number of types of information. As you consider your needs, your audiences, and the type of evidence, you may wish to narrow your searching to one type of information. Let's look at some strategies for locating books.

Chinook OneSearch

Using OneSearch Advanced functions, you may refine your search by title, author, year, language and much more.

Search CU collections using the Library Catalog. Try the advanced functions to refine your search.

Prospector borrowing is currently unavailable.

Borrowing through Prospector has been paused. You may be eligible to continue to request through Prospector if you are affiliated with other participating libraries, which include many Colorado public libraries. Request books from Colorado libraries that will come in just a few days. Use to request books Boulder doesn't have, or that are checked out.

Borrow materials and get scans from libraries around the world. Use WorldCat to find what you’re looking for and request a loan through ILLiad.
