RLST 2600: Judaism, Christianity and Islam (Adams): Finding eBooks & Articles

This guide supports the curiosity of students enrolled in RLST 2600.

Search tips and tricks

When searching, consider what words describe your topic.

  • Using terms in quotes, such as " Gnostic Christianity," will help retrieve results containing that exact phrase.
  • Consider using an asterisk to replace a variety of word endings. For example, searching for Islam* will retrieve results containing Islam and Islamic.
  • Think of synonyms and use these terms to find more information. For example, if you can't find information using the term "temple," try using "synagogue."
  • Use the Libraries' catalog, OneSearch, as a great place to start your research. Be sure to explore the ways to focus your search on the left hand side of the screen (see screenshot below), especially limiting to content that is available electronically while the Libraries are closed.
