RUSS 3705 Crimes of Passion: Gender and Sexual Politics in Tolstoy's Russia (Porter): Home

Library Instruction Class

Welcome to the LibGuide to accompany "Crimes of Passion: Gender and Sexual Politics in Tolstoy's Russia." The library session, taught by Jim Kalwara, Slavic Subject Specialist, will help you find, access, and evaluate authoritative secondary sources for writing your research throughout the semester. Additionally, this LibGuide will present strategies to help you with integrating sources into your final research paper. Finally, the session will help you to gain comfort in using library databases and tools (MLA, JSTOR, OneSearch, etc.) and asking for help.

Group Exercise Details

In this session, you will be breaking into four groups of four people; one group will have three people. Each group will spend 10 minutes searching for one title and answer each question from the worksheet during this search. Each group will designate one person to take notes and someone to report out to the class. Jim will be available to answer any questions as students work through this exercise.
