When deciding which databases to search there are a few considerations:

  • Time News comes out first, followed by trade publications, then scholarly articles.
  • Audience News is often written for a popular audience, trade publications for industry insiders (great source for the language of this industry), and scholarly articles for experts.
  • Depth New articles due to its timeliness are often short and quick, while trade publications will cover the topic more in-depth but from the viewpoint of the industry, and scholarly articles will probe the topic in-depth while also acknowledging counter viewpoints.
